Thanks to JESSE Rude-1 for the hosting!!
10 years. who woulda thought? Time flies when youre havin fun! Wemf has now become the largest festival of its kind in North America, and this years was one of, if not the best one ever. check this article in EYE Mag for a little history and behind the scenes look into Destiny. http://www.eye.net/eye/issue/issue_07.22.0...t/extended.html and now, on with the weekend. Civic Nation reprezentin the ride up to the condo no doubt! off to the jam, friday night as things started to get heated in the Bassline stage. In the 4/4 stage, Chris Liberator punishing the crowd with some heavy acid. Back to the Bassline stage, with Freaky Flow and Flipside performing their last gig together. Flipside will be concentrating his efforts into his Hip Hop projects, all the best to him! Crowd in Bassline stage. Morning time condo crew. good times saturday afternoon at the beach etc. and the finest WEMF dinner Ive ever had! after excessive drinking etc etc, it was off to the fairgrounds again. the gyals chillin Shabba D makin a rare DJ appearence at the hustlin beatz booth. (and a mashed Drazz lookin on) back to the main stage, Mystical absolutely tearin down the hangar. ...with 4 mc's. Mysticals Crowd. the ever so popular and previously mentioned "Caddy Dancer" on the move again, off to the 4/4 stage to check out Lab 4. Ive heard stories about these guys, but this was my first time seeing them perform. Think Mark EG times 2! Incredible set! serious Vibes for that live PA. Incredible sound and lighting. Back over, in steps teh Shy FX. The campgrounds were well organized and kept fairly clean. Big fuckin pimpin to whoever brought their own pool! Back at the main stage, Motorcycle was performing live, finishing off with the huge anthem "As the rush comes". Frontwoman Jen Brieden has a wicked voice, doing every number live, no lypsinc! for more info on them: http://www.eye.net/eye/issue/issue_07.22.0...motorcycle.html After Motorcycle, Mister John 00 Flemming. another perfect set! All in all, a very well organized event in comparison to years past, hosted at a perfect venue. No complaints at all. Thanks destiny for over 10 incredible years of proper parties. Congratulations on your anniversary. A milestone well deserved! All the best! and now, lets prepare for WEMF 2005!!! [dancing] Sunrise, Sunday morning. [lighta!] |

I hadn't been to WEMF since the disaster of 2001.
Only went for saturday night. The jungle room had it going on for the whole night. The hanger they used was perfect! Pure oldschool style venue and the place was rammed. Everytime I walked in somone was rinsin and everyone was feelin it. |

It was actually just outside of Collingwood at the GNE fair grounds. I think they just said it was at Wasaga so they could say you could goto the beach. I really should have gone to this since I could have just road my bike there =)
