i have the ray kieth and nicky tapes. I hope to encode them.
solid party, the venue was one of my favourites and the sound system was by far the best that i can remember Ruffneck played a solid set that night early in the jungle room. The 2nd level was a good view. The 360 rotating booth was such a good idea in the house room i chilled in there just watching the dam thing fubarred. I also have the roni size/brian g tapes at the 2nd utopia party that August. the lineups for these parties were stocked with serious selectors. i have a white utopia jersey, did anyone else buy one? they were selling them at the 2nd utopia party. |

Alright gang, let's set the record straight. My name is on the back of the insert in the first promo tape. I'm definitely not Italian and last time I checked in the mirror-I ain't black. Oh, and Chris...I admit I carried around something under my coat most of the time but I don't think it was attitude bro. Nice site BTW, thanks for keeping it real! I acctually have that tape.....& thats true Stevie does call out The Fugitive.....& it also says produced by The Fugitive in the inner sleeve!!! Fucking Funny!!!! (ha!! ha!!ha!!) I remember I was sick as a dog for this party but I had to go grab a "book". Once I got there I remember thinking sick or not this is to insane to miss.
I did an interview with Darren J earlier this year. In it he is talking about the bathroom situation at this Jam. It's fuckin great! I'll post it soon. |

Catalyst..... I'm pretty sure thats not the one!!! I think the tape U R looking for where he sings "lady in red" is the one from the party!!! My buddy has all the Utopia tapes from both parties next time I'm @ his house I'll check & let U know!!!

SORRY!!! Stokes..... U know wut my bad I just listen 2 that tape again & U R right he does sing "Lady in Red" on the CKLN Studio tape the night after the party. It is @ the begining of side A like 5 minutes in. I guess I haven't played that tape in a while!!! maybe it's time I should start playing my old tapes again!!!!

YES ! this party was it. The funny thing is that at the second one people tried to flod the bathrooms by clogging the sinks! to get back at the promoters for the bucket thing ! that nicky black set was BASH ! I was right in the middle of the jungle areana all night !

that line up really was incredible and i think mostly everyone showed up anyone remember that amazing light thingy they had around the dj stand like some sort of flashing boards or something?? never saw that in toronto also the second utopia was wiked...hot dirty sweaty jungle room at rpm with roni size who tore it up..i think with brian g and l double also lol you can hear my whistle all thru the roni set on the tape...i remember flying at that party..wiked night |
