Full Exposure
Effective/Empire - June 5. 1999 Held at the International Centre. Effective and Empire try to get some of that big party coin. Turned out to be a good event. Ice T was pretty pointless. There was a Jo Jo Rock tape from this event and I think there may have been a Billy Riley one as well. I would not mind hearing that one. front: Attached image(s) |

I admire the idea of trying to have hip hop at parties but it usually does not work and I really don't get the idea of bringing washed up rappers to events. I'm not sure how many extra people really would come out to see Ice T! I could be wrong.

I had the jo jo rock tape which was pretty tight, fearless killed it. Your not missing much with the Bill Riley tape, i got it but it aint that great, spins some good tunes but plays every track for like 3 or 4 minutes slow as fuck.

First rave I ever worked at.. I lost the flyer.. Ice T sucked IMO but Bill Fuckin Riley and Fearless were AWESOME!
This was near the beginning of the mega rave lets have hip-hop artists to kill the vibe days. |

Amazing party. I loved the venue, especially the jungle room which had that massive window which enabled us to watch the Toronto skyline and harbourfront all night long. It was really quite the sight too when the sun came up over the horizon in the morning.
Jo Jo Rock and Bill Riley were great, I really enjoyed their sets. I've got both of these tapes, which turned out to be the soundtrack for the first half of my third year in university. |
