The Vault Toronto Rave Forum _ Vault Server _ Phantasy, Goldie & The Rufige Kru

Posted by: sigma Dec 13 2003, 05:57 PM

The Sunday after Pleasure Forces ' Loony Toons' event in November 1992 I recorded this unforgetable moment off the radio. James St. Bass had this radio show on 89.5 FM every Sunday called Hard Drive. His show was actually responsible for exposing me to the Toronto Rave scene in the first place.

This recording is the second most important recording in my collection next to the Fabio 4 & 5 tapes. The Loony Toons event by Pleasure Force was amazing, It was held at the famous Cinespace Film Studios in Toronto. The same high ceiling studio i held many of the Syrous events, its actually the same building I held Champion of Champions in. It was an awesome location. This tape isnt the crispest recording but the track selection is incredible. Tracks like Knowledge by the Rufige Kru, W!cked!! This tape brings back so many memories it gives me chills.

The original encoding of this tape is slightly better quality but unfortunatly the file size is too big for the website at 167mb. If your interested in getting this on CD just send me a http://thecommunic8r.com/thevault/index.php?act=Msg&CODE=4&MID=1. I might have a little store setup shortly with PayPal.

F*ck I forgot all about this....until I listened and remembered it off by heart...on constant rotation while we were cruising around. Amazing. Respect James Sty Bass! "Jimmy Subshop"....isn't that John E's buddy that worked at Mr. Sub?
