TITLE: Syrous #01 'The Next Level '
LOCATION: Cinespace Studios, Toronto DATE: September 4th 1993 AUDIO: Only Audio is of 187's Live Set - Audio ATTENDANCE: 700 FEATURED DJS: James St Bass / Jungle PHD / Dr. No / Skipp-E / J-Sun / Sigma-7/ John E / Sean L / The Stinger / Peter The Greek / David Crooke / MC Clive G / Live PA - 187 MEMORIES: The one moment that really sticks out in my mind from this event is when the power went out for over 30 minutes. One of the parking attendents who worked for Cinespace had sabotaged my event by breaking into the studio next to us and killing the power around midnight. Thank god I had the cell number to the owner of the space. Took awhile but we got it fixed. Unfortunatly the parking dude had disapeared by the time it came back on. A spanning Lazer display awoke the crowd. The vibe just exploded!. The night was a success and there was a wicked vibe straight through. DESIGN BY: Chris Smart [ Dj Sigma7 ] - NOTE: Made with various magazine clippings. Mostly from a magazine called Omni Attached image(s) |

Hey, upon reading the information at the top about this rave. Listed on the bill was J-Sun. Was he a cat from Ottawa? That guy was my best friend. He died a couple of years ago of Cancer. Jason Fraser RIP. There were a bunch of guys who did there name that way. Maybe it was a different dude. Regardless he was one of the first people to do parties in Ottawa. Wicked guy, too bad he had to go like that. I saw him spin his last set two nights before he died, prostetic foot and all. He must be havin fun with all the other dj's up in there. I'll post a picture soon.
