Ok seriously been thinking about this for the past little while. This is a DOPE DOPE site..with so many goodies kicking around from, old samples, tracks, mixes and even so awesome flyers but what ever happened to the info line ?

That used to be the key component in this biz....for sure the info line is lost art. The hype of calling that number the night to find out where the jam was gunna be, we just don;t have that anymore. Checking the phone numbers 3 months later to get some old lady answer the phone...pure jokes ....if anyone here has some info line samples I would be mad shaken up !!

RIP - the info line...

Just the other week my girlfriend and I were going through my old flyers and found cut-out, the info line list that they used to have in Tribe. We called every number Better Days, Happy Face, Syrous etc... Some were not connected, others are in use by real estate agents. It gave us a bit of shock when we called one and music started pumping (this was all on speaker phone). We then realized that it was Destiny's infoline which is still active. Kind of odd that they are the only original company still around and that they now promote jungle/d&b pretty heavily along with the expected trance artists.

I think destiny just killed theirs recently actually.

I still remember them all..

some of the best ones was when mickey finn finally made it, and robbie put him on the phone.

"Ez, this is mickey finn, that sound is the 401, im in canada, im here"

another great one was Ryan from Destiny for the first WEMF. you could hear the excitement in his voice
"WEMF is here, 3 days of peace, and love, and muuuuuusiiiic!"

I wish I had recorded some of the info lines on tape. Would make for some nice nostalgia.
